ALAMEDA, CA (AP) - Oakland Raiders coach Dennis Allen says he told linebacker Rolando McClain not to come to practice a day after being held out for team-related issues.

Allen would not address the reasons for his decision on Thursday other than to say there are "consequences to his actions."

McClain did not report to the team facility Thursday.

Allen says McClain is still on the team's roster but says a decision about his future will need to be made. McClain was the eighth overall pick in the 2010 draft. He has struggled so far in his career and has had his playing time sharply reduced in recent weeks.
