Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Detroit Lions wide receiver Nate Burleson
suffered a broken right leg in the third quarter of Monday's loss to the
Chicago Bears and will miss the rest of the season.
Detroit head coach Jim Schwartz confirmed the injury in his postgame press
conference.
Burleson was hurt on his only catch of the game in the third quarter as he
was tackled by Tim Jennings on a 16-yard catch. He had to be helped off the
field and was taken to the locker room on a cart after being attended by
trainers.
The 10-year veteran had 27 catches for 240 yards and two touchdowns in six
games this season.
