SACRAMENTO, CA - Two undefeated local rivals will play for a Friday night showdown deciding which team will end up with their first loss of the season.

The (6-0) Bear River Bruins bring a balanced offensive effort to the field each week that Placer will have to look out for. This season, the Bruins have averaged nearly 153 passing yards as well as slightly over 188 rushing yards.

On the passing end, Bear River senior quarterback, Dillion Smith has cleared the midseason with a total of 785 yards and six touchdowns.  Additionally, senior running back, Cody Herd has had a good season with a total of 255 rushing yards and 9 touchdowns.

Meanwhile, the (6-0) Placer Hilmen have a rushing heavy offense, averaging 355 yards per game.

Hilmen senior running back, Issac Brahce has led the pack, running a total of 509 yards per game and netting nine touchdowns. Despite Brahce's great season, the Hilmen have a surprisingly stacked squad with four players rushing for six of more yards.

While both teams look to edge the other off and continue their undefeated streak, Bear River has something to prove.  Last season, the Bruins lost to Placer, 10-6 after a defense heavy match.
