LAS VEGAS, NV - The Toronto Raptors have traded forward James Johnson to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for a 2014 second-round draft pick.

"We're excited to add a talent like James to our young nucleus of players," said Kings President of Basketball Operations Geoff Petrie. "He's an outstanding defender with athleticism who can play at both positions up front while providing some versatility offensively and adding a dimension to what we can do on the floor."

Johnson averaged 9.1 points with 4.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 62 games for the Raptors last season. He was selected in the first round, 16th overall by the Chicago Bulls in the 2009 NBA Draft.

The Wake Forest product has played in 165 career games with Chicago and Toronto, averaging 6.6 points and 3.4 rebounds.
