SACRAMENTO AREA FORECAST 5/24/13 at 5 p.m.  

TONIGHT: A few high clouds with temperatures cooling to the 60s after 8 p.m. Overnight lows will fall to near 50 again.

SATURDAY & SUNDAY: Continued dry and mild with highs near 80. Partly cloudy skies in the Sierra with highs in the 60s.

MEMORIAL DAY: A developing weather system drops out of the Pacific Northwest with cool, showery weather for the Memorial Day forecast. Highs in the low 70s for the valley. Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers in the Sierra with highs near 60.

TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY: Chance of showers. Highs stay in the 70s. Sierra highs in the 50s.

THURSDAY: Partly cloudy and our shower chances start to decrease for the valley. Highs will be near 80. Sierra skies stay mostly cloudy. Highs near 60.

FRIDAY: Partly cloudy with highs in the low to mid 80s. Highs in the low 60s for the Sierra.
