SACRAMENTO, CA - Two Stockton men were indicted by a Sacramento federal grand jury Thursday on five counts of conspiracy to deal methamphetamine and methamphetamine possession and distribution.

Suspects Robert Anthony Guerena, 19, and Robert Vargas, 27, are documented members of the Norteno gang, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Eastern District of California.
Court documents state Guerena and Vargas had two pounds of meth in their possession when they were arrested earlier this month. When their apartment was searched, Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms agents recovered packaging materials for controlled substances, digital scales, a firearm, body armor, gun magazines and ammunition.
If found guilty of the conspiracy, possession and distribution charges, the suspects face a minimum mandatory sentence of five years in prison to a maximum life term plus hefty fines.
