Guardians of Middle-Earth is an upcoming multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game developed by Monolith Productions
Originally released in 2012 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment's MOBA game Guardians of Middle-Earth is now available for PC.
Developed by Monolith Productions, the PC version of Guardians of Middle-Earth allows gamers to team up and battle as powerful and iconic heroes from author J.R.R. Tolkien's world of 'The Hobbit' and 'Lord of the Rings'. Gamers will have access to 36 original Guardians, all of which can be earned through gameplay and in-game currency, to take into ten player competitive and five player cooperative multiplayer battle arenas.
Players also have access to three play modes modes, including the Survival gameplay mode previously introduced as downloadable content (DLC), and six maps such as The Shire, Goblin-town, and Mirkwood. Exclusive to the PC version of the game, there are 36 alternate Guardian skins available for purchase through the Steam store. This PC version also supports full Steamworks integration, Steam Trading Cards, Big Picture full controller compatibility, and Raptr integration for live streaming matches.
Player-vs-player matches typically range from 15 to 30 minutes in length. Gamers can decide to play against friends, other live opponents, or the game's AI. Gameplay is not restricted solely to PVP, however, as co-op vs. AI, Survival, and Training modes also exist.
Those who have previously purchased Guardians of Middle-Earth through PlayStation Network for PS3 or on the Xbox LIVE for Xbox 360 will be eligible to receive a PC download key for the base game. The code is obtainable by visiting http://www.guardiansofmiddleearth.com/vip/ .
