The collector's edition of Batman: Arkham Origins to include a statue of The Joker and an 80-page, full-color hardcover art book.
Fans of the Dark Knight will soon have an opportunity expand their Batman collection as Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have unveiled details for the upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins Collectors' Edition.
The Batman: Arkham Origins Collectors' Edition will include a copy of the game on the consumer's console of choice in addition to an exclusive highly detailed premium statue featuring LED effects produced by TriForce measuring nine inches tall, 11½ deep, and more than a foot wide. It will also come with an 80-page, full-color hardcover art book, 2 key pieces of "evidence" taken directly from the Gotham City Police Department crime lab, a Batman Wanted Poster, a Batwing Prototype Schematic , an Anarky logo stencil, a glow-In-The-Dark map of Gotham City, and a photo of the Wayne family.
Also included in the Collector's Edition is an Assassin's Intel Dossier, including files on the 8 assassins, as well as Black Mask's contract, a first appearance Batman skin that lets players look just like Batman did during his first appearance in the 1939 comic book Detective Comics #27, the unlockable Deathstroke Challenge Pack complete with two bonus Deathstroke Skins, and a feature-length documentary from Warner Bros Home Entertainment focuses on DC Comics' most terrifying villains narrated by actor Christopher Lee. Those who choose the PS3 edition will also include the Knightfall pack as an exclusive piece of content.
The package will be available on October 25 in limited quantities for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game. It will be listed at a suggested retail price of $119.99. WBIE has not provided any information in regards to possible Collector's Editions of Batman: Arkham Origins for PC or Wii U owners.
Developed by WB Games Montréal, Batman: Arkham Origins serves as an original prequel storyline set several years before the events of the Rocksteady Studios-developed Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. The game is being released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC. A spin-off called Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate is being developed for PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS by Armature Studio.
