Jackknifed trailer on NB I-5 in Natomas
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - At least one person was injured in a crash between a tow truck and a trailer truck hauling a load of gravel on the northbound side of Interstate 5 in the Natomas area of Sacramento Monday morning.
The incident happened between Del Paso Rd. and Arena Blvd. around 10:22 a.m., according to California Highway Patrol reports.
Witnesses said the tow truck may have cut off the trailer, causing it to go into the center divide and cross onto the southbound side of I-5.
The CHP said the tow truck driver sustained possible major injuries.
The left lane of northbound I-5 was blocked due to clean-up efforts.
