MODESTO, CA - Homicide detectives hope an image of a pick-up truck captured on a business security camera will aid them in their effort to solve a Feb. 2 murder.

The victim, 54-year-old Atour Daoud, was found shot dead in his vehicle at the intersection of W. Hatch Road and Dallas Street in south Modesto about 8 p.m. that Saturday night, said police Sgt. Rick Applegate. Emergency medical personnel determined Daoud had been shot once.

Investigators would like to find the driver of a white Ford Ranger pickup, model year 2000,s that was seen in the area and may be able to provide information about the shooting. The time stamp on the photograph is 8:09 p.m.
