Person of interest sketch released in Stockton shooting

STOCKTON, CA - Stockton police have released a drawing of a man possibly connected to the fatal shooting of a man on S. Lincoln Avenue early Sunday morning.

The sketch was developed with information provided by a witness, police say.

The person of interest was described as African American, in his early 20s, 5 feet 6 to 7 inches tall and weighing 170 to 175 pounds. His hair was short, and worn in a twisty style. He wore a gray, hooded sweatshirt.

Police were called to the 1500 block of S. Lincoln Avenue at 2:24 a.m. Sunday to respond to the shooting. Bryant Lee Howell,, 34, was found with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where police said he died of his injuries.
