FAIRFIELD - Fairfield police say they are looking for 21-year-old Zavier Pigues in connection with the murder of 30-year-old Brian Beaufort Sunday morning in the driveway of Beaufort's home.
According to police Lt. Greg Hurlbut, neighbors on Oceanic Court reported hearing a loud argument around 3 a.m. and then the sound of gunshots. Witnesses said they saw a dark, full-size car speeding out of the area after the gunfire.
Hurlbut said detectives have an arrest warrant for murder for Pigues who is considered armed and dangerous. The suspect was described as black with long dreadlocks. He was last seen driving a gray, 1992 Mercedes 400 sedan with distinctive 20-inch chrome wheels. The Mercedes California license plate number is 6GEV838.
Anyone with information about Pigues' whereabouts was urged to contact Fairfield police at (707) 428-7600.
