PATTERSON, CA - A person is dead after losing control of the car late Friday night.
The crash happened near the "T" intersection on State Route 33 and Rogers Road around 11:30 p.m., California Highway Patrol said.
The driver of the 1995 Toyota Celica was going eastbound on Rogers Road, failed to stop at the stop sign and continued on to the dirt shoulder. The car crashed into the railroad tracks, rolled over and came to a rest on its roof.
CHP said the 22-year-old Patterson resident was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said alcohol was a factor in the crash.
