Detective Joe Silva of the Stockton Police Dept. said detectives amassed information from the N. El Dorado Street homicide connecting 25-year-old Cordero Currington to the murder.

Detectives passed the information along to the newly formed Community Response Team (CRT) who unsuccessfully sought out Currington, said Silva.

At 10:30 p.m. the same night, Currington turned himself in to CRT Officers at the Stockton Police Dept.

Currington, a Stockton transient, was subsequently booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on homicide charges, said Silva.
