SACRAMENTO, CA - A Sacramento County Juvenile Court referee who decides custody cases and other issues was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of trying to get minors to pose for nude photos.
Daniel Horton, 47, allegedly posed as a modeling agent photographer and asked to photograph minors in their bathing suits or nude, Sacramento police Sgt. Andrew Pettit said.
According to Pettit, Horton also offered the victims money in exchange for sexual acts.
Horton allegedly frequents Folsom Boulevard, near State University Drive and Zinfandel Drive, Madison Avenue and Sunrise Boulevard in his light gold 2002 Mercedes C320.
Horton was arrested for annoying or molesting a child and attempting to contact a minor with the intent to commit a sexual offense, Pettit said. He was later released from jail.
Pettit said Sacramento police would like to hear from any other women who believe they might have been victims.
"The Sacramento Police Department is asking if anybody has any information regarding his actions ... to call the Sacramento Police Department immediately. He's been known to frequent different locations throughout Sacramento and Sacramento County," Petti said.
