ROSEVILLE, CA - A 20-year-old man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of robbing the Wells Fargo Bank at 8850 Sierra College Blvd. the same day, according to Roseville Police.

Spokeswoman Dee Dee Gunther said the bank was robbed around 10:10 a.m. on Tuesday by a man who entered the building and handed a note to a teller demanding money. The note mentioned a gun, but no weapon was seen.

Roseville police conducted an extensive search of the area after the robbery but did not find the suspect. Following up on leads throughout the day, detectives located and arrested Ogan Gencer, 20, of Roseville at approximately 6 p.m. in Folsom, said Gunther.

Gunther said Gencer was booked into Placer County Jail on suspicion of robbery.
