SOUTH SACRAMENTO - Police are seeking a man suspected of robbing a woman at gunpoint in South Sacramento at around 1 a.m. Monday.
Sacramento Police said the woman was coming home from work and when she pulled up to her home, a person approached her with a gun and demanded her purse.
Police were called and searched the area. Around 3 a.m., officers came across a suspicious vehicle near Calvine Rd. and Carlin Ave. and discovered four men inside. One of the men, who police believed to be the robber, took off running.
Police pursued with the assistance of K-9 units, but later called off the search when they discovered the man's identity. Police said they will search for the man based on his history and associates or family.
The other three men in the vehicle were later released.
