ROSEVILLE, CA - Two people were taken into custody and a third taken to an area hospital after believed bitten by a police K-9 following a two car-police pursuit late Tuesday morning.

Sacramento police officers initiated the chase after locating the one or more stolen cars at Raley Boulevard and Interstate 80 at 11:20 a.m., according to Sgt. Andrew Pettit. One of the vehicles was stopped or stopped voluntarily at Del Paso Boulevard and Interstate 5. That is where one person was detained and a second transported for medical care.

The second car in the pursuit continued onto Highway 99/70 and California Highway Patrol units took over. The driver entered Roseville city limits and officers employed a PIT maneuver twice on the car, forcing the vehicle into a spin-out on the second try, said CHP Officer David Martinez. The car was finally stopped at Pleasant Grove Boulevard and Country Blue Drive at 11:55 p.m.

The car's sole occupant, a female driver, was taken into custody, Martinez said. No one was hurt.
