SACRAMENTO, CA - A Sacramento father who authorities say abducted his children during a supervised visit earlier this week was arrested Friday.
Sacramento County Sheriff's detectives tracked Daniel Gwilliam, 25, and his two children to a house in the 4400 block of Bacall Court in Sacramento and arrested Gwilliam around 7 p.m., according to Sacramento County Sheriff's Sgt. Tim Curran.
Gwilliam's children, 6-year-old Tyler and 20-month-old Lilly-Ann, were recovered in good health and were being returned to their foster parents, Curran said. The children were placed in the custody of the county last February.
Gwilliam abducted the children just 12 minutes into a court-allowed visit Wednesday afternoon at the visitation facility on the 2300 block of Glendale Lane in Sacramento.
Curran said Gwilliam was being questioned by investigators Friday night and likely faced charges of parental abduction.
