SACRAMENTO, CA - The country is two weeks away from Election Day.
State Sen. Tom McClintock, R-Thousand Oaks joined Live_Online Tuesday at 11 a.m. He is the Republican candidate for the 4th U.S. Congressional District. His opponent is Democrat and veteran Charlie Brown.
It has been a hotly contested race between the two. Brown's campaign has called McClintock a "carpetbagger" for living in Thousand Oaks and not actually living in the 4th District.
McClintock's campaign has accused Brown of being anti-war and associating with anti-war demostrators.
News10.net viewers asked McClintock about several issues ranging from the economy to many of the measures on the November ballot.
One question viewers wanted to know was McClintock's view on Proposition 8, the gay marriage ban. McClintock supports Prop 8 and said, "Marriage is a unique institution in which a man and a woman summon a child into the world, creating a unique tapestry of responsibilities. Our marriage laws are designed to support those responsibilities and are simply inapplicable to any other kind."
News10.net will post McClintock's full interview on this story later Tuesday afternoon.
News10's Sharon Ito will interview Charlie Brown Wednesday at 11 a.m. on Live_Online.
