Eighteen years after christening ARCO Arena, the Sacramento Kings' venerable home court is showing its age.

Based in one of the NBA's oldest -- and smallest -- venues, the franchise remains locked in limbo as continuing negotiations with the city over building a state-of-the art home for Sacramento's beloved Kings roll on.

But after years of discussions marked by political posturing, site snafus and financial foul-ups, few are sure whether a new building is any closer to reality now than it has been at any point over the past decade.

News10 has examined the fits and starts that have locked up arena plans for years to find out if a brand-new facility is in the cards -- or whether the Kings era in Sacramento may be coming to an end.
