EL DORADO HILLS, CA - In anticipation of receiving 30 new mustang horses this week, rescued from horrible conditions earlier this year, The Grace Foundation of El Dorado Hills has been working all weekend preparing new pastures.

"We've got so much to do, it's gonna be close, but we'll make it," said co-founder Beth DeCaprio. "Come Thursday, you're going to see 15 of our new mustangs that are coming to us from Nebraska by way of Texas."

Grace Foundation board of trustees member Patrick McBride said caring for the horses is a community effort. He said they'll heal, evaluate and try to find new homes for these horses in the local area.

Wood posts were cemented, T-posts were pounded into the soil and containment wires were pulled in preparation for the arrival.

The first batch of mustangs will arrive Thursday and the remaining 15 will show up the following week.
