Man Shot at Downtown Sacramento Denny's

SACRAMENTO-- Sacramento police are searching for a shooter after a man was shot twice at a downtown Denny's Restaurant.  

Sacramento Police say the incident happened before 3 a.m. at the Denny's on J and 3 rd St. Officer say the two men were arguing when one of them pulled out a gun and shot the other twice.

The victim was taken to U.C. Davis Hospital with gun shots wounds to his leg and stomach. The injuries are considered non-life threatening and he is expected to survive.

The gunman ran from the restaurant, police say they tracked him to the Amtrak rail yard, where officers searched for over an hour.

Around 4 a.m they called off the search, and the suspect remains at large.
