TURLOCK, CA - Authorities identified a 22-year-old man killed after an argument escalated into a physical confrontation Saturday, as Lamondrea Brown.
Turlock Police Department spokesman Sgt. Nino Amirfar said around 2:40 p.m. in the area of 1200 North Olive Avenue, Brown got into a fight with Arthur Maunakea, 52, someone he knew.
During the fight, Maunakea stabbed Brown, Amirfar said. He later died from his injuries at a local hospital.
The physical altercation was a fatal ending to a previous argument between the two men earlier in the day, Amirfar said.
Police located and arrested Mauanakea around 2 a.m. Sunday. He's been booked into the Stanislaus County Jail on a homicide charge.
Amirfar said the incident does not appear to be gang related.
