LINCOLN, CA - C.J. Graham is in a rather exclusive club. He is one of nine actors to portray the murderous, hockey-mask- wearing villain Jason Voorhees in the "Friday the 13th" movies.
"I was running a nightclub in Los Angeles, " Graham said. "I ran into some people, they needed a big, frisky person and I just happened to be the first person standing there!"
At first, Graham thought they were kidding, but three months later he got a call from Paramount Studios and soon found himself on the set of "Jason Lives, Friday the 13th Part Six," wearing the hockey mask and becoming part of what has turned out to be a very successful horror film franchise.
"What's really exciting about that is to be able to say I'm one of nine guys (to play the part)," Graham said.
After Jason, Graham played Hell Cop in a movie called "The Highway to Hell" and did a number of national commercials. But his real experience was in helping to run casinos and nightclubs and these days he's an executive with the Thunder Valley Casino.
As for the mask he wore, Graham gave it to his 14-year-old son who has had plenty of offers from people wanting to buy it, but isn't about to let go of his dad's part of Hollywood history.
