TRACY, CA - Police arrested three men in connection to an early morning shooting Saturday at a local restaurant that injured seven people, leaving one in critical condition, according to authorities.
Tracy police Sgt. Tony Sheneman said Michael Mau, 24, of Tracy was taken into custody 12 hours after the shooting. He was booked into the San Joaquin County jail on seven counts of attempted homicide.
Elvis Mendoza, 28, and Johnny Martinez, 23, both from Tracy, were also arrested for accessory to attempted homicide, Sheneman said.
Sheneman said around 1 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a call of multiple shots fired at Amore's Restaurant at 130 West 11th Street. The restaurant turns into a nightclub setting after hours.
Witnesses told police a fight between two groups of people at the bar resulted in several of them getting put out by restaurant security. Sheneman said shortly thereafter, the suspects fired at least eight shots through the entrance, hitting six men and a woman inside.
One man was taken to San Joaquin County General Hospital in critical condition while the others suffered non-life threatening gunshot wounds, said Sheneman. The gunmen fled the scene.
Sheneman said the injured woman found her own way to a hospital. Two men were taken to Sutter Tracy Community Hospital, two others transported to St. Joseph's Medical Center in Stockton and another was taken to Kaiser in Manteca.
Anyone with information about the shooting should call the Tracy Police Department at (209) 831-4550.
