NEW HAVEN, CT (AP) -- The family of a Yale University graduate student Annie Le, whose body was discovered hidden in a university research building thanked their relatives and friends for their support.
The Rev. Dennis Smith issued a short statement Tuesday on behalf of the family of the 24-year-old Le. Her body was found hidden in a basement wall Sunday, on what would have been her wedding day.
In the statement, the family thanked its extended relations, the Yale community and friends for their caring. Smith said coping with Le's loss would have been even harder without that help.
Le's family also asked for privacy.
A Connecticut official speaking on the condition of anonymity Tuesday said police have developed a person of interest in Le's killing. No arrests have been made.
Earlier Tuesday, Connecticut's medical examiner said he would not be releasing the results of Le's autopsy at this time at the request of investigators.
