SACRAMENTO, CA - Several hundred Iranian-Americans protested loudly, but peacefully Thursday night in Sacramento over alleged election fraud in Iran.

The protest began at 6 p.m. outside the Sunrise Mall in Citrus Heights near the corner of Greenback Lane, where the large crowd would be seen by afternoon commuters.

"Local Iranians want to know, where is my vote?" said Khosrow Riaji with the American-Iranian Council of Sacramento.

Many Iranians living in the U.S. voted absentee in the presidential election, but feel their vote wasn't counted.

Riaji estimated there are about 20,000 Iranian-Americans living in the Sacramento region.

Turmoil has erupted in Iran since its presidential election over the weekend which many protesters claim was fixed.

An estimated 100 protestors have been killed in demonstrations in Iran since the election.
