SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CA - San Joaquin County has been selected as the site for a new outpatient clinic and nursing home for veterans, announced Rep. Jerry McNerney, D-Pleasanton.
The congressmen said the facility could bring up to 900 construction and staffing jobs to the area and will take some of the patient load off the Stockton Clinic in French Camp.
The Veterans Administration has not determined the specific location of the new clinic.In making the announcement, McNerney said there are more than 42,000 veterans in San Joaquin County. "Our veterans deserve nothing less than the finest medical care. It's one of my proudest achievements that they will now be able to get this care right here in San Joaquin County," he said in a prepared statement.
