STOCKTON, CA - A female high school teacher in the Lodi Unified School District has been arrested on suspicion of having sex with a male student, according to Stockton police.

Christina Oliver, 24, who teaches at NcNair High School in north Stockton, was booked into San Joaquin County Jail on three charges involving child molest or annoyance, lewd or lascivious behavior with a minor, and contact with a minor for the purpose of committing an offense with the minor.

Police spokesman Pete Smith said the arrest happened after the father of the 16-year-old student became suspicious.

"Things weren't setting well with the father, getting straight answers where (the boy) was going, and who he was with. The student and teacher were communicating via text mail and email and those things," said Smith.

Police say the investigation is continuing and ask anyone with whom Oliver may have had inappropriate contact to call them at (209) 937-8377.
