SACRAMENTO, CA - A federal grand jury in Sacramento has indicted 21 people in connection with a multi-million dollar methamphetamine ring.
The 43-count indictment alleges the meth ring has been operating for at least the past eight years. More than half of suspects indicted are already in custody on an earlier federal complaint.
Prosecutors believe the alleged ringleader, Miguel Edwardo Vasquez, ran the operation from his million-dollar estate in Cameron Park.
Earlier this week the U.S. Attorney's office filed motions to seize the Cameron Park home along with four others owned by Vasquez alleging the houses were purchased with drug money.
