SACRAMENTO, CA - It's no secret that the Grant Pacers haven't been looking so hot these past few years, but that may just change this season with some fresh talent.
Last season, Grant finished with a 5-6 record, including one blowout loss against Elk Grove. However, Pacers head coach Mike Alberghini is confident the team's got what it takes; it's just a matter of maturity.

"We have the right product if [the team] wants to work together and not make mistakes," Alberghini said.
Year after year, the Pacers continue to stay within the radar of most local teams, despite previous shortcomings. When asked if that factor was an issue, Alberghini disagreed.
"I'd rather be thought of, [rather] then trying to figure out who," Alberghini responded. "We won more games than anyone in the past two decades."
In the end, Alberghini said that his program was just looking to be back on board like the golden days. For the Pacers, once again, becoming a dominate team in the region seems to be most important.
Grant starts the season off in week zero at Paradise High School.
