SACRAMENTO, CA - A man was convicted of sexually abusing a teenage family member, the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office said.
Michael Fox was found guilty of forced oral copulation, multiple counts of sexual battery, misdemeanor sexual battery and misdemeanor annoying or molesting a child, DA spokesperson Shelly Orio said.
Fox was convicted for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl on Nov. 24, 2013; she testified against Fox during the trial.
"Although the young victim witnessed the defendant inflict violence on others for years and she had been physically abused by him herself, the victim showed strength beyond her years during her compelling trial testimony," Deputy District Attorney Laura West said.
Fox's sentencing is scheduled for April 18.
