Folsom Lake windsurfer rescue, March 22, 2013
FOLSOM, CA - A windsurfer was rescued at Folsom Lake Friday afternoon.
Park rangers noticed the man struggling in the water at the south end of the lake by Folsom Point.
Emergency responders pulled him out and after being treated at the scene for exposure to the chilly water, he was released and left.
The windsurfer wore a life vest.
News10 chief meteorologist Monica Woods said wind gusts were up to 40 mph in the Sacramento Valley Friday.
