ELK GROVE, CA - A possible shooting threat against an Elk Grove high school has been investigated and authorities say it appears to be unfounded.
The school was Pleasant Grove High at 9531 Bond Road. Sgt. Jason Ramos with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department said personnel checked into the "threat" very aggressively and determined it most likely was a rumor that gained traction via kids talking and social media. He said no actual source of the threat was determined nor was the threat directed at a particular victim.
Ramos added there was extra security in place just in case.
