Police: Elk Grove man stabbed outside Candlestick Park

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - An Elk Grove man is in critical condition after getting stabbed during a fight outside of Candlestick Park early Sunday afternoon. 

According to Sgt. Michael Andraychak of San Francisco police, the victim, a 27-year-old man, was with five friends outside of the park when the two suspects approached the group. 

Andraychak said the suspects, who are being described as a 22-year-old male from Daly City and a 30-year-old male from San Francisco, initiated a fight with the men.

As the fight escalated, one of the suspects pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the torso, Andraychak said. When authorities arrived, the victim was rushed to the hospital with life threatening injuries.

A few minutes later, police arrested the suspects several blocks away off Blaken and Executive Park drive. 

While the Bayview Station Investigation Team is studying the case, Police urge any witnesses to call the investigators at (415) 671-2300. 

According to Andraychak the victim is expected to survive.
