SACRAMENTO, CA - A man suspected of crashing a SUV into an east Sacramento pharmacy was arrested by Sacramento police Thursday evening.
The 19 year old from Rancho Cordova was driving a possibly stolen vehicle eastbound on J Street around 6:45 p.m. when he crashed into the Knott's Pharmacy on the 4800 block, Sgt. Jeff Morris said.
The driver fled the scene on foot and was found 15 blocks away from the crash scene. Morris said witnesses helped identify the man as the person behind the wheel.
He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries for treatment before he was booked into jail.
Morris said detectives were investigating if the driver was involved in a similar crash earlier Thursday.
