The Driving It Home program shows the grim reality of accidents
ELK GROVE, CA - Elk Grove Community Services Officer Misty Dailey is passionate about keeping drivers safe on the roads. It's her job and her "Driving It Home" program is in high demand with across the valley.
Dailey started the program five years ago and the Sacramento District Attorney's Office has now teamed with her to help spread the word about safe driving. The presentation includes a reality check for drivers, graphically highlighting the aftermath of auto accidents.
Dailey also speaks to DUI offenders.
Dailey says teens are usually riveted by the message, but sometime adults derail the effort by modeling bad behavior.
