STOCKTON, CA - Forbes magazine's online version has put out its annual ranking of most miserable cities, and Stockton no longer has to claim that title.

STORY: 5 local cities make Forbes' most miserable list

Miami is at the top of the list and Stockton has dropped to number 11.  Sacramento rose to number 5.

Forbes wrote that stabilizing housing prices is the reason Stockton improved.

Retired businessman Greg Basso made news last year protesting the Forbes list by producing a video that gained more than 50,000 hits on YouTube.  He was just as outspoken regarding this year's list.

"They don't know how to sell magazine subscriptions.  This is their way.  People get tired of hearing the same thing over so you attack another city, like the hardworking people in Miami.  Lets get them all worked up," said Basso.

Basso's complaint about Forbes was the list focused on a handful of categories, while leaving out quality of life factors like sunshine, and recreation.

"Mark Twain said it best. There are three types of lies: Lies, damn lies and statistics," said Basso.
