The Pizza Place in Rocklin
SACRAMENTO - Do you have your plans set for Sunday? Pizza delivery workers certainly do. This Sunday is the busiest day of the year for pizza places. But pizzerias aren't the only places prepping for a busy Bowl day.
One of those places is Selland's Market and Deli in East Sacramento. They've been open in Sacramento since 2001, but this will be the first Sunday they will be open.
Wheat-crust pizza is the new big thing at Roundtable Pizza in Auburn, where they are expecting to do a lot of business on Sunday. General manager of the RoundTable Pizza off Elm Avenue in Auburn, James Gates, said he's scheduling extra staff and delivery drivers for the game.
Gates says his restaurant can accommodate about 200 people. He has no idea how busy it's going to be inside, but there's no question that his delivery drivers will be burning up a lot of gas that day.
Pizza delivery drivers are not complaining. Previous N.F.L. championship games have provided tips as high as $20 on deliveries.
