MODESTO, CA - Less than 24 hours after a motorcyclist was killed in Roseville, a biker in Modesto lost his life after wrecking at the intersection of Tully Rd. and Union Ave.
According to Officer Mark Ulrich of the Modesto Police Department., officers responded to the call around 10:45 p.m. Thursday night. Ulrich said responding police could not find the biker upon arrival at the scene. Upon further investigation, the man was located in a backyard several houses away from where the accident was reported.
The motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital where Sgt. Brandon Gillespie reported the man died around 4:30 a.m. on Friday.
Gillespie did not reveal the cause of the accident, but he said the motorcyclist was riding without headlights.
