SACRAMENTO, CA - One man is in jail after he was arrested for exposing himself to a 10-year-old child.
Sacramento police spokesman Norm Leong said the child went to the bathroom at the McDonald's in the 200 block of Richards Thursday night when the suspect, a 60-year-old man exposed himself. The child was able to get out of the bathroom stall, but didn't tell his parents what happened until a few hours later.
The child's parents then called the police who used surveillance video to identify the man, who they described as a transient. The child was not injured. Leong said it's important to remember that even if you're right outside the bathroom door doesn't mean your child is always safe. He suggested the best thing to do is accompany your children in to public restrooms.
