Oakland police say 4 killed in separate shootings

OAKLAND, CA (AP) - Oakland police are investigating four fatal shootings that took place within six hours Friday in different parts of the city.

The Oakland Tribune reports the first fatal shooting took place around 2:30 p.m. when a 22-year-old Oakland man was shot to death in East Oakland.

The second fatal shooting was reported around 3 p.m. Friday when a 30-year-old Stockton man was found shot to death in the city's Glenview district.

Then around 4:15 p.m., a 20-year-old Oakland man was found shot in his car after the vehicle had come to a stop in a driveway of a home.

Around 8:15 p.m., a 17-year-old boy was shot and killed in East Oakland.

Officer Johnna Watson, a spokeswoman for the department, said the shootings involved what she termed as "several identified groups" involved in feuds. She did not identify any suspects.
