3 arrested in Citrus Heights shooting wounding 3

CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA - Three people have been arrested in connection with driveby shooting in Citrus Heights Sunday night in which three people were shot.

Tiffany Gangstee, 26, and Thomas Wanamaker, 26, were arrested and face conspiracy to committ first-degree murder and attempted murder charges, police say. Iman Shabazz was also arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm and accessory after the fact.

Sgt. Rich Wheaton previously said officers found the victims inside a vehicle parked near Sunrise Boulevard and Greenback Lane before 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

Wheaton said the victims said thet were shot after they got into a fight with two other people on the 6900 block of Sunrise Boulevard.

The victims said the other two people used an older model, white convertible, 2-door vehicle.

After the altercation, the two in the convertible followed the three victims to a parking lot at the 6200 block of Sunrise Boulevard. That was where the occupants of the convertible fired multiple rounds from a handgun at the victims, Wheaton said.

The three people shot were treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening wounds, said Wheaton.
