Closer to seasonal temps with rain possible Memorial Day

SACRAMENTO AREA FORECAST 5/24/13 at 7 a.m.  

TODAY: Sunny skies and a high near 80.  West winds up to 10 mph.  Sierra highs in the lower 60s with plenty of sunshine. 

TONIGHT: Few high clouds and a cold start to Saturday with a low in the upper 40s.

SATURDAY & SUNDAY: Continued dry and mild with highs near 80. Partly cloudy skies in the Sierra with highs in the 60s.

MEMORIAL DAY: A developing weather system drops out of the Pacific Northwest with cool, showery weather for the Memorial Day forecast. Highs in the low 70s for the valley. Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers in the Sierra with highs near 60.

TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY: Chance of showers. Highs stay in the 70s. Sierra highs in the 50s.

THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy but our shower chances start to decrease for the valley. Highs will be in the 70s. Sierra skies stay mostly cloudy with a chance of showers. Highs near 60.
