MODESTO, CA - A Modesto son will spend the rest of his life in prison following a 100-year sentence handed down Tuesday by a Stanislaus County Superior Court judge for the shooting deaths of his parents one year ago.
Jeff Laugero with the Stanislaus County District Attorney's Office said Cameron Terhune, 25, pleaded guilty last month to two first degree murder charges and two special enhancements of use of a gun in the deaths of Ken and Diane Terhune on Jan 13, 2009. The couple was shot in their Stewart Drive home in north Modesto and discovered two days later, according to prosecutors.
Cameron Terhune was located the evening of Jan. 15, 2009 and arrested.
According to Laugaro, Terhune must serve 100 years behind bars before he is eligible for parole and he cannot appeal the conviction.
