A man who spent two and a half years in jail on kidnapping and rape charges was acquitted of all charges Tuesday.
Peter Douet, 24, faced nine charges in connection with the July 2005 abduction of a woman on Stockton Boulevard. The victim was reportedly taken to a Rancho Cordova motel and sexually assaulted by four men.
Douet maintained his innocence and witnesses verified he wasn't at the scene of the crimes, according to his father.
Douet was held in Sacramento County Main Jail on a no-bail hold for the last two and half years.
