SACRAMENTO - A 2.9 magnitude earthquake shook the ground about one mile southeast of Vallejo Monday evening, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The tremor was recorded at 8:18 p.m.
There were no initial reports of injury or damage.
USGS measuring devices pegged the quake's location at a depth of 4.9 miles.
News10 investigative producer Mike Bott, who lives in the area, described it as a "pretty decent" earthquake.
