According to the sheriff's department, Addson then shot the 22-year-old man and ran from the scene. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

After nearly two hours of searching, a nearby hospital reported treating Addson, who also matched the description of the shooting suspect.

Bowman said detectives linked evidence at the scene to Addson, and then booked him into Sacramento County Jail for murder.
