SACRAMENTO - A Ceres woman who did not come back home as expected after going to Arizona a few days before the new year has been found in the Merced area, police say.
Thirty-three-year-old Rosenda Vidaure is fine and has been staying with a relative, confirmed a Merced County sheriff's deputy who met with her Friday.
Earlier Friday, the Ceres Police Department put out a plea to the public for information on Vidaure's whereabouts. She had been expected back in town on Jan. 4 after leaving for Arizona Dec. 29. The last contact anyone had had with her until Friday was a Jan. 3 call she made to a person who was to pick her up at the bus station the following day.
